we've been on holiday in former east germany in summer 09 with a
small camper. to my shame i have to admit that i've never been there
before (except berlin). we travelled over the country side... thueringen,
sachsen, brandenburg. such a wonderful part of germany. you don't have
to travel long distances causing pollution all the time. there are
beautiful lakes in the east with no one there. just you and birds,
fishes and three other campers you'll never see. :) they now have lots
of wonderful lakes in the east because they flooded old open cast
minings. (see pic above)
we also visited fran, nora and clay at their house in
berlin and stayed there for a few days. this was the very first time i
played the electric guitar since i gave birth to lilian. the perfect
gift fran could give me. he is on holiday from travis right now and has
a blog nick discovered a few days ago
